Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to organize a space in your home?
Do you struggle with "This was a gift so I have to keep it," or "This was my late grandmother's so I can't throw it away,"?
Are you panicking because you have a new member of the family arriving any day and you don't know where you're going to put all the 'baby stuff'?
Let's change your perspective and make your home a place you love to be. I can help you overcome clutter, help you make decisions when it comes to what to keep and what to let go, and develop realistic plans to achieve your organizing goals.
My approach is supportive, compassionate, and individual - what works for one family may not work for another. Whether you're looking to do a clutter overhaul, or would simply like one room put together, I am here to guide and motivate you every step of the way.
I specialize in making spaces functional - whether that means working with the space you have, or choosing new shelving, bins, etc.
Let's work together to create the home you deserve!
You can see there was a small amount of space to work with in this situation. The table and floor are crowded with items scattered, along with an unlabeled bin and closed box. The contents of the bin and box are hidden so who knows what's in there!
The main complaints about this space were that baking ingredients were hard to find because they were all over the table - including in the large box, items used the most often had no 'home' and never seemed to be in the same place twice causing frustration when it was time to cook or bake, and the general messiness of the table.
This was a 'work with what we've got' situation until proper shelving was able to be purchased.
As you can see, the floorspace has been cleared, and the bin labeled so the contents are known. The large box was emptied and items are now clearly identifiable and able to be accessed quickly.
The most commonly used items are out and readily available without having to dig through a bin to get them.
Baking ingredients are placed together so the client can see what they have without having to rifle through a huge box. Decorating accessories are also grouped together for easy access to everything she'd need.
This space is now accessible, easy to view, and, most importantly, functional for the client.
Organizing doesn't have to mean a Pinterest-level appearance.
It should, first and foremost, make your space functional and user-friendly.
